Legal Action Policy
What happens if someone does something genuinely wrong.
Last updated: July 2026
Our General Stance
We are one person. We do not have a legal team on retainer. We are not looking for reasons to sue anyone and we do not send threatening letters over minor misunderstandings. Life is too short and lawyers are too expensive.
That said, there are lines. Here is what they are and what happens if someone crosses them.
Piracy
If you downloaded Xenegade OS without paying for it from a third-party source, here is our honest position:
If you do not own your exe, then you pirating it is not stealing from us in the way most companies would claim. We did not lose a guaranteed sale. You were probably never going to pay anyway. We are not going to chase you down.
However — and this matters — pirated copies are dangerous for you, not us. We cannot guarantee what has been injected into a binary you downloaded from a random forum. The No-Fakes rule only applies to copies that came from us. A tampered exe is someone else's problem that becomes your problem.
If you genuinely want Xenegade OS and can't afford it, contact us. We'll figure something out. Seriously.
Where we will act on piracy: if someone is distributing Xenegade OS at scale — selling it, repackaging it, or running a piracy operation — that's a different matter entirely. That crosses into commercial IP theft and we will pursue it.
Intellectual Property Infringement
What is protected:
- —The Xenegade OS name and brand
- —The Axiom Systems name and logo
- —The compiled software and its architecture
- —The No-Fakes and No-Disabling rule names as product identity
What we will do if someone infringes:
Contact first. We will send a plain-English message explaining the issue and asking for it to be resolved. Most situations are misunderstandings. We start here.
Formal cease and desist. If Step 1 is ignored, a formal written notice goes out. Still not a lawsuit. Just a documented request with a deadline.
Platform takedown. If the infringement is on a platform (GitHub, app stores, marketplaces), we file the appropriate takedown notice with that platform directly.
Legal action. If Steps 1–3 fail and the infringement is causing genuine commercial harm, we pursue legal action under Australian IP law. We are not bluffing about this step — we are just honest that it is the last resort, not the first move.
Defamation and Misrepresentation
Writing a negative review is not defamation. Saying you didn't like the product is not defamation. Criticism is welcome and expected.
What is not acceptable:
- ❌Deliberately false factual claims designed to harm Axiom Systems commercially
- ❌Fabricating quotes attributed to Axiom Systems
- ❌Running coordinated campaigns using false information
If this happens, Step 1 is still a direct message asking for a correction. We are reasonable people. If that fails, we escalate.
Security Researchers
If you find a security vulnerability in Xenegade OS, please tell us before you publish it. Contact form, marked "Security." We will respond within 24 hours. We do not have a formal bug bounty program yet but we will acknowledge your contribution publicly if you want us to, and we will not threaten legal action against good-faith security research.
Governing Jurisdiction
All legal matters involving Axiom Systems are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any proceedings would take place there.
Contact For Legal Matters
Contact form. Mark it "Legal." Text only. We will respond.
These documents are written to be read, not to bury you in language designed to confuse. If something here is unclear, ask us.
